Minden, NV- On March 1, 2023, Maxton announced multiple coming changes to their Overspeed/Pipe Rupture valves. The New OSVB25 replaces the cast OSV25 residential/LULA model with a billet body design allowing for inhouse manufacturing. All internal parts for the OSV25 are incorporated into the OSVB25 so repairs and warranty items are covered. Additionally, the commercial OSV STD and OSV E1 will receive a New Shut Off Handle design for ease of use and identification. This is a rolling change on both products to exhaust previous inventory during March 2023.
Maxton made these strategic changes to reduce sourcing constraints and improve ease of use. While there are minor dimensional and weight differences between OSV25 and new OSVB25; the two products are as close to like for like as possible with multiple customer confirmations to form, fit, and function. The New handle for the OSV commercial series clearly identifies the shut off handle and allows for better operation by hand.
