Minden, NV– Maxton Manufacturing Company releases their new control valve coil cover design for the UC1/UC1A/UC2/UC2A hydraulic elevator control valve series. This product change is a complete retrofit, using the old base plate, designed from an approved fire resistant high impact material with improved labeling and pressed in metal insert replacing the washer used in fastening the cover to the valve. In addition, a new bracket completes the coil enclosure and provides electrical wiring access and connection replacing the previous control valve base plate. The coil designations formally on the base plate will be engraved on the control block. Maxton customers can expect to see the product changes on orders shipped in mid February 2012.
The normal function of the coil cover is to protect the coils and encase electrical activity preventing shock. This new design accomplished several objectives to better form, fit, and function that benefit our customers: noise level reduction, larger labeling area for added valve adjustment instruction, no loose washer to drop in the tank, a sleek uniform appearance and superior fit compared to the previous control valve metal coil cover.
“By changing from a metal cover to the new design we made a better component on several levels, so it was the obvious choice,” said Billy Shrum, Technical Manager with Maxton.
