Minden, NV – From October 17-23 Maxton Manufacturing Company instructs National Elevator Industry Education Program (NEIEP) elevator mechanic trainers in Providence, RI. Maxton’s Technical Manager Billy Shrum instructed multiple classes on Maxton hydraulic elevator control valves and provided trouble shooting tutorials on video for the NEIEP online curriculum. This cooperation between Maxton Manufacturing Company of Minden, NV and NEIEP of Attleboro Falls, MA will enhance the educational value received by hundreds of elevator mechanics served by NEIEP going forward.
The NEIEP trainers that received instruction by Maxton are mechanics themselves that proctor ongoing training of other union elevator mechanics one to two times weekly. Having the Maxton information to share with their students and adding fresh topics to their material was appreciated.
The Maxton classes were divided into two groups of 12-14 each with 7 hands on training units available for real time application of the material. The mechanics expressed they learned a lot from the Maxton material and enjoyed the recommended tips & tricks along with the hands on applications, which benefited them the most.
