Maxton Manufacturing conducted a hydraulic elevator mechanic training class for the elevator maintenance department at UVA in Charlottesville, VA May 5, 2011. The UVA elevator maintenance crew services 235 hydraulic elevators, using mostly Maxton valves, between the medical and education campuses. Six elevator mechanics participated in the one day training covering valve adjustments, trouble shooting tips, valve design and function, hydraulic oils, hydraulic elevator systems, etc. Billy Shrum, Technical Manager at Maxton, instructed the group during the 8 hour session.
