Minden, NV – On July 19, 2016 Maxton Manufacturing Company held elevator control valve training classes at Otis Elevator in Las Vegas, NV. 26 mechanics in total attended the two sessions for continuing education credits (4.0 credit hours) through the NAEC’s approved CET continuing education training. Each session was made up of classroom instruction, Q&A, and practical valve adjustment/troubleshooting with the Maxton TA4M training unit.
The elevator mechanics were engaged while learning new points, techniques, and corrections with the valves along with re-affirming the basics. This working knowledge of and with the valves raises confidence and increases performance within each mechanic towards solving common issues found in the field. The value received from these classes was expressed by many… “This was the best training we’ve had that I can remember.”
“The level of training both technical and hands on far exceeded our expectations. All skill levels of our field mechanics learned valuable knowledge and troubleshooting methods,” said Sam Hagaman Service Supervisor for Otis.
“This group was strong in their troubleshooting abilities, but even so there were good learning lessons received throughout the classes. With more and more seasoned veterans moving closer to retirement the need for well-trained mechanics is growing. Contributing to the education solution is something we care about and enjoy doing,” said Billy Shrum Technical Manager for Maxton.
