Minden, NV– On January 25, 2014 Maxton Manufacturing Company and Capitol Elevator of Sacramento, CA installed their first UC4M HD electronic hydraulic elevator control valve as part of Maxton’s Pilot Program. This is a 3 stop application in a medical building that commonly saw heat related issues as the elevator has daily high traffic levels. Maxton is grateful for the support and interest coming from the industry regarding their new electronic valve. With two other installations in the works they will continue to report updates as the pilot program grows and progresses. During the next few months Maxton intends to have 5 total installations in place further proving out all facets of this product.
“Our pilot program was designed to install a handful of UC4M HD electronic control valves in a variety of demanding field applications to further prove out the installation procedures, valve performance, gain installer feedback, and field hours on the valve,” said Billy Shrum Technical Director at Maxton.
“We jumped at the chance to install the new Maxton UC4M HD as part of a pilot program after seeing the demonstration at the 2013 NAEC 64th Annual Convention & Expo last year. One particular medical office building with only 1 elevator seemed like a prime candidate for this new commercial high duty electronic control valve. The elevator had a history of leveling and ride quality issues due to the excessive heat generated from its constant use. We couldn’t be more satisfied with the new valve. The installation was straight forward and making adjustments was as simple as it could possibly be. The improved ride quality and leveling was remarkable. Added benefit is that there is no external diagnostic tool that needs to be plugged in; everything is on-board with an easy to read display. I wouldn’t hesitate to install this truly closed–loop system on any future modernizations, repairs on existing or new construction project,” said Tim Conkling Vice-President of Capitol Elevator Co., Inc.
