Minden, NV– On March 14th Maxton Manufacturing Company instructed Brigham Young University elevator mechanics on proper Maxton elevator control valve maintenance, technical and hands on trouble shooting, elevator performance measuring and adjustment procedures. The BYU elevator shop had three mechanics in attendance along with three from Otis SLC and two from Schindler Salt Lake. The BYU team maintains 110 total elevators half of which are hydraulic and at least 40 are equipped with Maxton valves.
This NAEC approved 4.0 hour CET training class provided by Billy Shrum Maxton’s Technical Manager keeps elevator professionals current and proficient with Maxton valves and maximizing hydraulic elevator performance. The importance of maintaining proper elevator performance is vital to the longevity of the elevator and will contribute greatly to fewer trouble calls, less man hours used, reduced energy usage and more satisfied riders.
“This group was highly experienced with an average of 23 years working on elevators. With that said, each and every mechanic learned something new and was technically instructed to better their performance and skills,” said Karl Keller Marketing Director.
